Norman Cross Gallery Winter Exhibition, Peterborough

A group exhibition, including a selection of Kathryn's coral sculptures. Open Saturdays 4th November - 31st December, 11am - 4pm, and at other times by appointment with the Gallery.


 

'Brief Encounters', Newark Houses Museum, Leicester
10th - 31st March 2018
Work by eight artists, each paired with a scientist from the University of Leicester, for British Science Week 2018. Including 'Symbiosis', a collection of glass, thread and porcelain micro-fungi, inspired by research at the University, by scientific glass blower Gayle Price and me.


Peterborough City Gallery Showcase Cabinet, until April 2018
Porcelain plant sculptures and jewellery selected for the City Gallery's Showcase Cabinet. The City Gallery is situated in Peterborough Museum, open Tuesday - Sunday.


 

"MERAKI", Heart Gallery, Hebden Bridge

Group exhibition in the beautiful Heart Gallery, Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire. Meraki is a modern Greek word meaning a labour of love, to do something with pleasure... to create with absolute devotion and undivided attention.

"Inspired by Botany" at Gallery Steel Rooms, Brigg, North Lincolnshire

A rolling program showcasing small artworks and objects of desire by selected artists. Opening 15th September, 2018 in the main gallery. This is a selling exhibition, with a rotation of artworks, so you want to be certain to see my work please contact Gallery Steel Rooms before visiting, to check availability. Porcelain Meadow Plaques Workshop
4th November 2018
At the Wildlife Trust's Nene Wetlands Visitor Centre, Rushden Lakes. Study plants, fungi and lichen up close and then create a beautiful sculpted plaque using porcelain. All materials & tuition provided, £25 per person. Either 9:30-12:30 or 1:30-4:30pm. Nestled in Derby Museum's herbarium, in the notice nature feel joy gallery, alongside dried lichen and moss specimens, are a cluster of porcelain lichens.

Derby Impossible Cup and Herbarium Finds - Interventions at Derby Museum

Nestling beside the antique porcelain vessel that inspired it, the tiny Derby Impossible Cup is one of a series of interventions by different artists in the Derby Museum porcelain collection. Meanwhile, upstairs in the nature gallery tiny porcelain plants and fungi can be found in the herbarium.

Found in the Fields, at The National Centre for Craft & Design, Sleaford

Solo exhibition. A series of works inspired by plants and lichens found growing in places loved by the poet John Clare. Kathryn's collections of found materials, photographs and intricate porcelain sculptures tell of plants' fascinating structures, textures and forms. The exhibition includes work first created for 'UnEarthed" (see below), with new artworks that continue the story. "Found in the Fields" "Found in the Fields" is in the Project Space at the National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford, open daily from 10-5, free entry.

Exhibition with Prue Pye, at The Willoughby Memorial Trust Gallery, Corby Glen. Life paintings by Prue use soft earthy colour with elements of layering and movement. Kathryn's intricate porcelain sculptures and jewellery capture the essence of plants and lichens found growing locally.
